Birgitte Bruun is a Danish-born jeweller living in Cambridge. She creates beautiful and contemporary classic silver jewellery, influenced by her Scandinavian roots. Birgitte is able to create contrasting textures by working the silver or by incorporating semi-precious stones.
She uses a range of techniques including texturing, oxidising or milling of the silver. Birgitte particularly enjoys shaping the metal by forging and planishing, and many of her pieces involve these techniques. She also includes interesting semi-precious stones in my designs and highlights of gold.
Where appropriate, her pieces are hallmarked with her unique mark which is registered with the London Assay Office. She is a member of The Cambridgeshire Jewellers’ Guild and Cambridge Open Studios and has featured in the Crafts Council Maker’s directory.
Eclectic Mix is very excited to have Birgitte join us to showcase her beautiful range of jewellery. One-off commissions can be made on request by completing our enquiry form.
